Why I call myself a Performance & Fitness Coach ....

A performance & fitness coach, more than anything else, understands the difference between what a client wants & what that client needs. They identify the underlying issues that prevent a client from achieving their stated goals, & know how to solve those problems.

Although a PT can provide awesome input & help make the most out of your workout when you have a session with them, as a performance & fitness coach .... I will reach further. 

I will help you achieve your performance and fitness goals by encompassing your lifestyle, both inside and outside of the gym.

  • BTF (British Triathlon Federation) Level 2 Diploma Coach
  • EA (England Athletics) Leader in Running Fitness (LIRF)
  • UKOSF (United Kingdom Obstacle Sports Federation) Level 2 OCR Coach
  • Sports Psychology Diploma

This gives me a wide & varied choice of training types & methods for multiple different sports & fitness levels. My diploma in Sport Psychology further helping me to help you with your motivation, attitude & approach.

I adhere closely to this philosophy at all times & the goals we set are all SMART: Specific to you, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant & Time-Based.

I am always ready to adapt, to improvise & fully understand that day-to-day life will challenge us. I believe it is my job to help you manage that better. My Experience ....

I have been competing and completing in events since joining the Royal Marines in 1989. Recently I ran across Iceland (Oct 2019), from the north to the south, completing 9 marathons in 9 days & total distance of 330 Kms. I still compete in multiple arenas including triathlon, duathlon, XC, adventure &endurance events, obstacle course racing & more …. looking to test myself & the training programs & advice I have provide. I could not honestly offer something I do not believe in, fully.

"I'm not good enough to have a coach" .... think again!

A performance & fitness coach is someone who will work with you, whatever your level of experience and ability or aspirations, & prescribe the best training strategy for you to achieve them.

Your goal could be to complete your first event, improve from your last event or simply to arrive on the start line with the confidence to finish. Alternatively, you could be an experienced athlete, who is seeking to refine their training regime or improve their technique to achieve their ultimate goal or improve towards an aspiration which has thus far eluded them.

You could also be a complete beginner, who is seeking to take up a new sport & would like the support of someone who knows what it feels like to be in your position, who will support & encourage you & gently move you forward step-by-step to becoming a confident & proficient athlete, in a balanced & structured manner.

You may seek someone you feel accountable to, who can set the correct pace & give you the right balance & variety to your training regime to suit not only your goals, but also taking into account your lifestyle & day-to-day commitments, as well as keeping it enjoyable.
